Before booking an appointment with one of our clinicians, it may be worth looking at our self-referrals page to check if a surgery appointment is needed for the service you require.
How to Book an Appointment
You can make an appointment in the following ways:
Appointments are held Monday to Friday, 08:20-11:00 and 13:30-17:50.
Let us know if more than one person in the family needs to be seen. We can give you a longer appointment if necessary.
Tell us if you would like someone to accompany you during an examination or a private room to discuss matters.
Continuity in Care
We recognise the importance of continuity in care and will endeavour to book you with your registered doctor. When this is not possible you will be offered an appointment with one of the associate doctors.
If your appointment is for a follow up of an ongoing problem, please let our reception staff know who you have previously seen and they will try to book you with the same doctor.
We try our best to accommodate your preferred day, time and doctor but this is not always possible.
Urgent assessment clinics/appointments are available every day. To see what clinics and services our practice offers, please visit our clinics and services page.
Urgent appointments are for single problems that have arisen in the last 24-48 hours and/or for problems that cannot wait until the next available, bookable, routine appointment.
Whenever possible please call the surgery on 01428 683174 for an urgent appointment, before 10:30 for an urgent appointment as this assists us in managing the workload.
These appointments are shorter than normal and are not appropriate for longstanding or ongoing problems, an appointment time is given but this is only a guide, the clinics can be very busy. Please be prepared to wait and be patient.
It is not possible to say which doctor you will be seeing.
All the doctors are available to give advice over the telephone, discuss results or answer simple questions. It is not always necessary for you to come into the surgery.
Please call the surgery on 01428 683174 for advice over the phone. The best time to telephone is between 12:00-13:30
At busy times the receptionist will take a message and the doctor (or duty doctor) will call you back. Please provide sufficient information to the receptionist so that the doctor can prioritise the call back.
