Practice Newsletter

The Partners and Staff would like to thank you for your patience and support as we work through the busiest period we have ever seen in General Practice.

At this time of unprecedented demand you can help us to help you:

  • Please use the website (see below) for non-urgent appointments or queries
  • Please continue to telephone for urgent appointments, these will always be triaged and seen the same day as appropriate. Phoning early in the day helps us prioritise
  • Please be patient if you have to wait a little longer for calls to be answered, our staff are working hard to manage the increase

We offer pre-book telephone consultations and the GPs/clinical staff continue to provide daily face to face appointments, as we have done throughout the pandemic. We also offer appointments in the evening and weekends with our out of hours service provider. We also now have appointments at the Surgery with a Physiotherapist, Jack Petersen, two Pharmacists, Katherine Borrett and Sumra Hussain, and a Mental Health Practitioner, Finn Broderick, when these are more appropriate to your needs. These roles are essential for the smooth running of General Practice and we are lucky to have these specialist professionals.

Chiddingfold Surgery Website

The easiest way to get in touch with us is via our website, You are able to connect anywhere at any time with an internet connection. When you visit the Practice website you will be able to find answers to many questions you may have, submit prescription requests, register with the Practice, ask the GP a question and a number of other useful links. Using our website allows patients who have an urgent problem to be able to get through on the telephone a bit easier.

From time to time we may use a text message to inform you about tests/appointments due, or ask for information to update your records regarding long term conditions. Please take the time to reply to these as this saves considerable time chasing individuals by telephone and ensures we keep your care up to date.

Dr Pippa Ellis

Dr Ellis has chosen to move to a new surgery in order to broaden her experience as a GP. We thank her for her hard work over the last, difficult, 3 years and wish her well.

At the present time Dr Steeds will be helping us out working on a Monday and a Friday.

Dr Ali Alidina

The Partners are delighted to announce that from May Dr Alidina will be joining the Practice as a Partner, currently Dr Alidina is working at a Practice in Wandsworth.

Dunsfold Branch Surgery

Dunsfold Branch Surgery remains closed at the present time. The premises are not deemed fit by the CCG’s Infection Control as suitable for face to face appointments. We appreciate the loss of convenience, but have worked hard to ensure your needs have been met from Chiddingfold where, in fact, a better and broader range of services are now available to you.

Volunteer Opportunities

Our Patient Participation Group (PPG) are a small group of patients who we meet with to work with the Surgery to discuss the needs, views, concerns and comments of the patients and to enable constructive changes to be made to improve our services. If you would like to volunteer to become part of our PPG please contact the surgery. We need new volunteers.

Lastly, we would like to remind everyone that, although restrictions have been lifted with the wearing of face masks in shops etc. there is still a requirement to wear one in medical settings. This is to protect vulnerable patients and staff and is an infection control requirement.

Job Opportunities

Keep an eye on our website for up to date job opportunities with us.

Thank you,
Partners and Staff
